Bothell High School Stargram Designs

What is a Stargram? 

Audience members can purchase a Stargram in the theatre lobby and write a personalized note to a student in the performance. Stargrams could be purchased with candy to be gifted to the student. Money from Stargram and candy purchases goes directly to the Drama Booster Board, who use the funds to pay for student meals during tech week, costumes, and to pay for any other of the Drama Department's needs.   

In 2022, the BHS Drama Booster Board changed Stargrams from a cut out paper star to a full page and needed an artist to create a design for each production. As a student involved in the drama program as an actor, I volunteered to create designs starting my junior year.

The image on the right pictures the old Stargram design (just the paper star) on top of a 8.5 x 11 in paper. I based my layout off of this formation, and was given creative freedom for the background. I based my design off of the posters for the show in order to retain a cohesive theme. After finishing my design, I would send the digital file to the Board to be approved before they sent the designs to a print shop.
