Drawing lines and boxes

(using Scott Robertson's book How to Draw)

Drawing 50 Cubes

Sketching Perspective Views

  • Drawing 1- 1 point perspective drawing including 3 boxes of varying placement above, at, and below the horizon, and varying in size. Place these boxes within the cone of vision. Place 1 box far outside the cone of vision to observe the effects.
  • Drawing 2- Construct a 2 point perspective drawing with the "Parallel 2-point Method." Meaning the line of sight is directly in the middle of the Left and Right vanishing points, which are both at 45 degree angles from the station point. Draw 3 boxes within the cone of vision like Drawing 1. Draw one far outside it.
  • Drawing 3- Construct a 2 point perspective drawing with the "Angular 2-point Method." For this drawing, the vanishing points will be at the 30 and 60 degree angles from the station point. Include the same amount and placing of boxes as before (it does not need to be exactly the same place, just the same concept of variation).
